If you already use a protective case for your iPod and cannot suction POP directly, you still have two possibilities; adhere the provided gloss plate to your case to create a smooth surface onto which to suction the POP or you can use the belt clip - included in package - and suction POP; the cord winder is then independent of your iPod.
